RibsNPacks recording star artist East has lamented on the fast increasing price of food in the market during his visit to the Jabi market for the purchase of food stuff.
This was disclosed during a chat with the label media crew last weekend.
The music monkey reacted to the prices of food stuffs in the market saying that the current increase is alarming and not visible as many Nigerians can’t event boast of earning up to N5,000 daily, meanwhile the food prices have skyrocketed without increase in salaries or having disposable incomes to throw around to eat good food.
According to East “ many people have been plunged into hunger due to the hike in the prices of food, without help of disposable income from their daily earnings”.
He said despite the promise of the government to ensure that millions of Nigerians are lifted out of poverty, it is clear that many Nigerians have rather been taking into poverty as they are not able to cater for their families.
The star artist therefore call on the government to do the needful in enduring that no Nigeria go to bed hungry.
